Christy is a highly skilled and dedicated speech and language pathologist with a Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology from Loma Linda University. She is a licensed speech-language pathologist in California and holds a certification of clinical competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) as a CCC-SLP.
With 15 years of experience, Christy specializes in working with children, particularly in early intervention programs conducted both in-home and clinic-based settings.
Throughout her career, Christy has gained extensive expertise in evaluating and treating various communication disorders, including apraxia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, developmental delays, articulation/phonological disorders, and receptive and expressive language disorders.
She excels in tailoring therapy to meet each individual's unique sensory profile and emotional needs, creating engaging and reciprocal learning activities to facilitate progress and skill generalization across communication partners and environments.
As a parent of special needs children herself, Christy understands the challenges faced by families in similar situations. She is dedicated to providing support and empowerment to parents, offering guidance on how to incorporate therapy strategies into everyday family activities. By fostering a collaborative approach, Christy aims to enhance communication skills and improve the overall quality of life for both children and their families.
